Part of the L&D Programs for Below SG 18 employees is the Personal and Career Enhancement Program: Learning and Development Programs for Improving Employees’ Core-Behavioral Competence. It aims to help the identified employees gain specific knowledge and skills which will enable them to effectively carry out their functions and increase their performance. The program includes sessions on Self-Management, Result Focus, and Innovation which will be conducted virtually for four days through synchronous and asynchronous sessions.

Much has been said about the need to become globally competitive. In today’s era, everyone has to become a person with international competence in order to contribute significantly to an organization or company. This has challenged and encouraged employees and all members of any organization to step up ahead of everyone and become English language, proficient employees. This call is not only directed towards teachers of English, but to everyone who has a serious desire to improve their English communication skills. This training program attempts to help employees in responding to the challenge of enhancing their communication skills, both spoken and written, at the same time, improving their language proficiency. The overall goal of this communication enhancement program is to strengthen the communication skills of the employees in the Department of Education Region XII. It is important that they are able to use language and nonverbal communication in conveying shared meaning in the workplace. The program intends to equip these employees with some techniques in order to effectively articulate their ideas and present them in writing clearly and persuasively. The program will cover the following areas: • Grammar for Professionals • Business Correspondence • Speech, Articulation, and Public Speaking
